Elon Musk is currently the richest man on earth, with a net worth of a whopping $182.6 billion, as of November 2022. And when the world’s richest man makes any move, the entire world tends to notice. 

Recently, Musk captured the whole world’s attention after he bought the social media giant, Twitter for $44 billion. Ever since the deal closed in April, Twitter and Musk have been involved in various controversies . 

Adding fuel to the fire, Musk fired more than 3000 of the company’s employees, which also includes the then-CEO, Parag Agrawal . 

All these actions of the new Twitter boss have triggered thousands of people and have raised numerous dissensions. 

While many believe Elon to be the end of Twitter, that is certainly not the case, and I’ll tell you why!

Reasons why Twitter will rise higher under Elon Musk.

1.Guaranteed Freedom of Speech

Musk is a firm believer in freedom of speech, which is one of the main reasons he bought Twitter, first of all.

Previously, the social networking site had banned numerous people from the platform as it believed they were a threat to the users. Some big names like ex-US President Donald Trump , his ally Roger Stone , and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut were among the ones losing their Twitter handles.

However, with Musk’s overtaking, freedom of speech is to be guaranteed. He has even lifted the ban on Trump, proving his point.

Moreover, surprisingly Musk hasn’t even banned the account of a man who keeps track of his private planes.

Nevertheless, users need to follow a few simple guidelines before making a tweet; just to ensure it doesn’t spread hateful conduct. 

2.Emerging Platform for Creators

When replying to a tweet by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, where Musk was asked if live videos could be upgraded to facilitate more interactors, Elon said the company has been focusing on video content overall.

This reply from the boss suggests Twitter is coming up with a lot of resources to help content creators. With the successful execution of this strategy, hundreds of thousands of creators will jump to Twitter from YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The owner further promises to enhance monetization, encouraging the creators.

3.Serious Actions against Child Exploitation

Over the years, Twitter has more or less neglected the sexual contents that prevail on the site. Needless to say, the website is full of pornographic contents, especially that of children, that go ignored by the company. However, Musk seems serious about the issue and has already taken actions to remove such contents. The top three hashtags that were used to circulate child exploitation contents have now been deleted under the new owner.

According to Eliza Bleu, an advocate for child victims, the company was finally taking some measures after years, to control the heinous act taking place on the platform.

After getting hold of Twitter, Musk’s decision to provide verification signs to anyone who pays $8/month shocked many of the users.

Many believed the decision to be the downfall of the company. However, the rest appreciated the decision as it would provide every user with equal privileges; because now, anyone can have a verified account despite their status. So now, you can be verified without being a politician or an influencer. 

5.Source of Authentic Information

Musk plans on making Twitter a platform everyone would visit to confirm the news.

The idea is for all authentic information to be available in the site and discourage false and misleading headlines. This would increase people’s trust in the company and make Twitter a reliable source of information.
